Taiwan - Day 7 - HSR back to Taipei, National Palace Museum, Ximending, Shida Night Market

After a good night sleep, Keykey woke up for his journey back to Taipei. He didn't want to waste time and thus, decided to take the HSR back to Taipei. FYI, Taipei and Tiachung and linked by both HSR and normal train. The stations for them are at different parts of Taichung. 

 

Keykey stayed at Galerie Hotel as it is near to Feng Jia Market and also near to one of the stop for the free shuttle bus to HSR station. 

 

The bus stop for the shuttle to HSR. The shuttle bus is near to McDonalds and is once every 20mins. Specifically, it is at Intersection of Qinghai Rd and Henan Rd

Soon, reached the station and checked out the timings. In fact, Big Key had bought the tickets before hand online. There is early bird discount online when booked early.

After reaching Taipei, Keykey checked into TS hotel aka Tashun Hotel. It was very near to Ximending and Keykey selected it for this reason. After checking in, they set off for National Palace Museum. The museum supposedly contains lots of Chinese heritage. As such, ig Key and Lady Key went to check it out.

Sorry, no photos allowed inside! The museum was not for Big Key and Lady Key who can't appreciate art. Keykey saw the 2 famous items - this lor bar and the lettuce!

 

They then went to Ximending for some food.

So nice!

 

After that, the trios went to Shida night market. Shida night market is located near the shida university and thus, there are a lot of shops catering to the university community and food at night.

 

Saw a lot of people queuing for this and went too. 

 

Nice and value jap food!

 

Went to some other shop for dessert to end off the night.
