Signs explaining how the 'holes' at Swallow Grotto came about.
Ci Mu Bridge
Tien Hsiang! the place for lunch
For those who prefer not to climb, there were some shops selling snacks and souvenirs
View at the bottom, from a distance
Eternal Spring Shrine (Chang Chun Shrine)
Waterfall
The shrine is to honour those who died while building the Central Cross Island Highway.
Keykey decided to climb up from the temple to explore!
Up and up he go, seemingly with no end.
Finally, he reached a tower! A Bell tower
The bell tower was the highest point
Keykey rang the bell!
Looking down at the tiny vehicles. This is another temple. Not the eternal spring shrine. It is on the other side of the hill.
Beautiful scenary! Worth the climb up the steps
The steps were rather steep and tiring for keykey who had short legs and seldom exercised. The bottle of water and sweets we brought along were a lifesaver!
We took it slow and it was an accomplishment when we reached the top!
Opps.. Need to go down.
